usedSoft, the European trading enterprise for used software, is the new sponsor of darts professional Vincent van der Voort. From today, the Dutchman will compete in the second “Super Series” tournament of the professional association PDC in Milton Keynes, Great Britain (16 to 19 March 2021).
“Vincent van der Voort is not only a sure scorer, but also keeps a clear head in challenging phases”, says usedSoft Managing Director Peter Schneider. “He is therefore a great addition to our darts team. Especially for niche sports, support is important at the moment as many competitors are facing a tough time in the current Corona situation.” Apart from van der Voort, usedSoft is sponsoring two other darts players. Since December 2020, the company is partner of three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen. In early 2020, usedSoft also started supporting Fallon Sherrock. The Brit went down in the history books in 2019 when she became the first woman to win a match at a World Championship.
Van der Voort is currently listed 26th in the world darts rankings. He has been under contract with the most prominent darts association, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), since 2007. The player, nicknamed “The Dutch Destroyer”, has taken part in 14 PDC World Championships so far and already won several titles in international tournaments. In his home country he also hosts darts events on TV.
The “Super Series 2“ PDC tournament will be broadcast live on www.pdc.tv.
