With our instructions, this is much easier than it looks at first glance. On this page, we will show you step by step how to install Office, Visio and Project 2024, 2021 or 2019.<\/p>\n

The easiest way to do this is with the Office Customisation Tool. Here we will guide you step by step through the creation of the required XML file.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]1. Call up Office Customisation Tool<\/strong><\/p>\n

You need an active internet connection to use the Office Customisation Tool. Access this link at https:\/\/config.office.com\/<\/a> and scroll down the website. Click on ” Create new configuration”<\/strong>at the bottom left .<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Selecting the version and products<\/strong><\/p>\n

Select the desired bit number (usually: 64-bit) and your Microsoft product. In our example, we would like to install Office 2024 Standard. If you want to install a standalone version, you can first select any product here.<\/p>\n

3. Set update channel and apps<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can leave the settings for the update channel unchanged. Under Apps, you have the option of selecting which components you want to install and which you do not want to install. In our example, the Publisher is not required and has therefore been deactivated[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Then select your preferred language. Optionally, you can add further language packs as required, for example for spelling corrections[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]5. Installation options and updates<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the selection for the installation options, update and upgrade options, you can simply accept the settings or customise them as required.<\/p>\n

6. Licensing and activation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under Licensing and activation, select whether you want to use KMS or MAK activation. In this example, select MAK and enter your licence key. <\/strong>The tick below should remain on “user-based”.<\/em><\/p>\n

7. General settings (optional)<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can enter your company name in the General section. However, this is optional[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]8. Application settings<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can also customise the application settings to adapt the programmes to your individual requirements[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”6\/12″][vc_column_text]9. Finalise configuration<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will find a summary of your configured settings on the right-hand side. Check these once again. If everything is correct, click on “Finish”<\/strong>at the bottom left.<\/p>\n

10. Export XML file<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the last step, click on “Export”<\/strong> to create the XML file. If necessary, select your preferred file format and confirm with “OK”<\/strong>. Agree to the licence terms and download the XML file.<\/p>\n

Leave the suggested file name unchanged<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/12″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”5\/12″][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][\/vc_section][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1729069492522{background-color: #ffffff !important;}” el_id=”odt”][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Step 2: Install Office with the Office Deployment Tool” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”5\/6″][vc_column_text]As soon as the XML file has been created, you can start the Office installation. To do this, you need the Office Deployment Tool from Microsoft. Download Office Deployment Tool<\/strong><\/p>\n

Download the Office Deployment Tool<\/strong> from the Microsoft website using the following link: https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=49117<\/a><\/p>\n

2. Run Office Deployment Tool<\/strong><\/p>\n

Open the folder in which the downloaded file is saved. Start the application and accept the terms of use<\/strong>. You will be asked in which folder you would like to extract the files<\/strong>. To do this, create a folder called “Office2024″ on the desktop, for example. Save the files in this new folder[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/6”][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”5\/6″][vc_column_text]3. Add prefabricated XML file<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will then find a setup file and one or more ready-made XML files in the new folder. Now copy the XML configuration file<\/strong> that you created in step 1<\/strong> into this folder.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]Attention! Customise XML file (only for standalone versions!) <\/strong><\/p>\n

If you want to install a standalone product (e.g. Word 2021) rather than the entire Office package, you must customise the XML file. Open the file with any text editor. Under \u2018Product ID\u2019, enter the appropriate product ID for your licence, which you can find at this link: https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/de-de\/troubleshoot\/microsoft-365-apps\/office-suite-issues\/product-ids-supported-office-deployment-click-to-run<\/a><\/p>\n

Under \u2018Channel\u2019, enter \u2018PerpetualVL2024\u2019 for all 2024 versions and \u201cPerpetualVL2021\u201d or \u2018PerpetualVL2019\u2019 for all 2021 and 2019 versions.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”12186″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”5\/6″][vc_column_text]4. Copy folder path<\/strong><\/p>\n

Click in the address bar<\/strong> of the folder you have just created and copy the entire path. You will need this for the next step.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/6″][vc_column_text]5. Change directory in the command prompt<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enter \u201ccmd\u201d<\/strong> in the Windows search and right-click on \u201cCommand Prompt\u201d<\/strong> and select \u201cRun as administrator\u201d<\/strong>. In the \u201cCommand Prompt\u201d<\/strong>, enter the following command: cd<\/code> (for “change directory”), followed by a space<\/strong> and the path of the folder<\/strong> you have just copied (e.g. cd C:\\users\\usedSoft\\Desktop\\Office2024). Press enter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. Start installation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now enter the following command in the command prompt: setup \/configure xml-filename<\/code>. Replace xml-filename<\/code> with the name of the XML file that you copied to the folder (e.g. setup \/configure configuration.xml<\/code>). Press Enter<\/strong> to start the installation of Office[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”4\/6″][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”5\/6″][vc_column_text]7. Complete the installation of Office<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wait until the installation process<\/strong> is complete. This may take a few minutes. Once the installation is complete, you can close the open windows.<\/p>\n

8. Checking the installation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Open one of the newly installed Office programmes (e.g. Word<\/strong>). Open a blank document and go to File > Account<\/strong>.
