MS Office Professional 2003 (Microsoft®)

With the software package for Microsoft® Windows and Mac OS, Office 2003 Professional the international market leader for standard software, Microsoft®, has launched this version in the segment of office software. The new Office 2007 was going to follow at the end of 2006.

The Microsoft® Office 2003 Professional Edition contains: Word (word processing), Excel (spreadsheet analysiss), Outlook (e-mail client/planning of appointments/groupware with a new user surface), PowerPoint (presentation), Publisher (web documents), Access (database) and the Business Contact Manager. A new addition is the module InfoPath for form sheet composure und a visualization tool in Excel. The implementation of smart tags as known by Office XP has been improved.

The Professional Edition is primarily intended for implementation in companies. For that reason so-called team sites have been well integrated into the package. Apart from that the new Office can now exchange data from Word based on the extensible markup language (XML) with other programs.

A Windows operating system as from Win 95 upwards, 600 MB storage capacity and 265 MB RAM is required. In connection with the Windows SharePoint Services under Windows, i.e. the installation of a special Microsoft server additional functionality can be fully exploited by the professional versions of Windows Office 2003, especially regarding the team cooperation (Exchange Outlook) and the information rights management (IRM).
