Autodesk Inventor

Autodesk Inventor is a CAD software program which has been developed independently from the well-known AutoCAD for mechanical engineers, plant manufacturers and tool manufacturers for the creation of 3-D models of assembly and individual parts. It is generally suitable for the fields of work in which mechanical constructions are set up.

Apart from the construction features and the integrated AutoCAD® Mechanical for the creation of production drawings special tools and data management functions help to cover the multitude of demands in mechanical engineering and production. In the 3-D-systems also special two-dimensional drawings can be made from the 3-D-images. The successful 3-D CAD-solution Autodesk Inventor is therefore a powerful tool for specialists, who are involved in machine construction processes of many kinds.

Although there still is a high demand for earlier versions (like the Inventor 5), the new product, the Inventor 11 is being sold, which is promoted as the ideal CAD-solution for users who switch from 2-D to 3-D software.
