MS Exchange Server 2003. Enterprise Edition
The Enterprise Edition of the MS Exchange Server 2003 is intended for large companies and amongst others stands out for its considerably extended database utilization in comparison with the standard edition: instead 2x75GB up to twenty databases each with maximal 16 Terrabyte can be compiled and administered in four storage groups.
The groupware functions ("Collaboration" above all in connection with Microsoft® Web Storage) are of course a focus of the server features like already featured in the standard edition of the MS Exchange Server 2003. The multitude of functions of the Unified Messaging (e-mail, fax, voicemail) should also be emphasized.
The broad variety of remote access options seem to reach a special level of importance especially in larger companies, no matter whether via mobile phones, PDA or also via the internet by means of Outlook Web Access.
The manufacturer emphasises the considerably improved features regarding security and reliability, the option for simple actualisations and generally simplified handling by the client. Added to that, the administration is made much easier for system administrators by these new tools of the MS Exchange Server 2003.
