„When we recently needed additional windows 2000 licences as interim solution to get a gradually effected Linux-migration 2000 as planned, we made a call for tenders regarding used software at first. The Capital of Munich has no reason to pay more for software than necessary. A 50 % saving compared with the price for new software speaks for itself. After a detailed legal review, we did not have any legal concerns at all.
We are of the opinion that the trade with used software is legally sound. Microsoft submitted a written confirmation that everything would be fine under licensing law.“
